I usually try to stay away from anything Kardashian (as everyone and their mama are obsessed), but this is SO enviable. I am quickly becoming obsessed with mermaids. I even got married on the beach. I saw the pics from Northy's birthday and it makes me want to pregnant yesterday so I can have this party and dress up like a mermaid. They are just the cutest! I know everything is mermaid now: mermaid hair, blankets, styles, etc. Speaking of blankets. Has anyone seen those mermaid blankets? I am obsessed and dying to get one! Talk about life goals. People want to hate on the Kardashian's because they are "bad influences" for our daughters. Don't they own their own brand? Kylie has her own lip kit line (dying to get my hands on those! Unfortunately.. still waiting). Kim, Kourt, and Khloe have their clothing line, make up, tanning, etc. Kendall is a World Famous model. They're so trendy and successful entrepreneurs. You can hate on them all you want, but they make more money in a week than we could ever get. Also, they are body. envy. If I could workout like them and get half way as in shape as they are, I would be one happy chick. Back to the original topic of this. MERMAIDS! These pictures are giving me serious party envy. It makes me want to have a party just to dress up like a mermaid. I LOVE it! Good morning! I'm not sure I can contain my excitement for Shark Week! I'm going to first share my thoughts on the first two episodes for Shark week before I get into a news story I read about sharks. I like to think that I'm a lower version of these shark experts. I went to the Dominican and snorkeled with Sharks and Sting Rays. Talk about an adrenaline rush. kind of. Anyway. We're kind of like kindred spirits. We've both been in the water with them. I wasn't feeding them bloody fish or anything, but basically the same thing. So if anyone with a shark week team needs a helper. I volunteer as tribute. Tiger Beach episode - I felt like this episode was a little anticlimactic. I didn't get that energy rush that I usually get while watching Shark Week (like I did in the second episode). With that being said, how cute was Emily (the shark not the team member. Although the team member seemed sweet as well. She kinda has to be a great person as they named the First shark after her). Side note: I would pee my pants if they named a Shark after me. That would be the most exciting thing that's ever happened to me (minus my loving husband and puppy. I think they'd understand though. Well, only my husband. My puppy is a jealous brat). I almost choked when they said she was pregnant with 20 pups. Twenty. Pups. Yikes! Suddenly the quints my husband keeps joking about us having doesn't seem as rough. The heartbeat and baby ultrasound gave me alll the feels! Then I got sad and wondered where Emily is now and got a little angry thinking about ships possibly getting her. When I heard she was last recorded on the coast of Georgia, I was ready to jump in a boat and be her body guard. I lost a little hope when they were looking for the fin cam. I was like guys! We have to find this. I wish they would have shown a little more of the footage they got from the cam, but all in all, I'm glad they found it. Return of the monster Mako episode - This is the episode where I almost shit my pants (I should have. Then I could achieve my life goal of becoming friends with LeAnne Locken. We could laugh and share stories of when we shit our pants.). This is the shark week I look forward to. It gave me such an adrenaline rush. That poor guy that was down in the water and having to go back and forth protecting the two guys. All I could think about in that scene was my parents' dog. She's like a big shark. If you push her back she just keeps coming back like it's a game (which obviously it is), although I'm not sure I could just "push" a shark away. When they went in the water and night with the zero visibility I was like "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! Get. In. That. Cage!!". I suddenly became their over protective mom worrying about them. When the sharks came, though, I turned back into shark week super fan and was like "Yeah. This is why I watch. Look at those sharks getting in. Yeah. Protect your home Sharkie!" I will admit the entire time I had Finding Nemo/Finding Dory on my mind. I saw finding Dory the night before and I referred to every shark (except Emily) as Bruce and kept repeating "Heeere's Brucey!" and "Fish are friends, not food". Clearly I'm adulting very nicely. Along with the night feeding extravaganza, my eyes were glued to the screen when they tried to catch the Mako and it was so strong it started pulling the boat back. All I could think was "cut the line! cut the line!". I wasn't able to watch the last episode. I'll catch up on that today or tomorrow. It sucks being an adult and having to get up early and what not. Now! On to the news story I read on yahoo.com this morning. I read that an 11 year old boy got attacked in North Carolina in the same spot another teen was bitten in. I'm so happy he's going to survive and that must be a terrifying experience for a young boy to go through. I wish I knew what kind of shark it was, since it only bit enough to cause deep wounds and didn't take any limbs off. I'm assuming a case of mistaken identity thinking it was food and when it realized it wasn't it pulled a "by bad dude. I'm gonna leave now"? The two boys are so lucky they weren't seriously injured. All the articles I've read said that they don't know the type or size of the shark. I'm also surprised that they didn't close the beach, but I'm sure people weren't flocking to get in the water after a shark attack. With all of that being said, the water is their home. We are intruding on their space and their home. Attacks are going to happen. If someone broke into my house, I would probably attack them too. I wouldn't bite them or anything. I would just give them a little shove out. I'm just fascinated with this for some reason. The shark didn't do the damage it could've. I just keep wondering what kind of shark it was and if it really was a case of mistaken identity. Sharks will never cease to fascinate me. Until next time! Apparently Taylor Swift moving on to Tom Hiddleston is breaking the internet. I'm just going to get to the point and say it. Who mother f'ing cares. I mean really. Does her dating him REALLY affect your life in any personal aspect whatsoever?? Her and Calvin broke up, she's moved on. For those saying "she said she was spending the summer with friends and family" blah. blah. blah.. How many people have said "I'm never dating again" after a break up and ended up boning some random guy that weekend. Who cares. She's young, hot, and single in Hollywood. I'm sure if you were single in Hollywood you'd be snagging up all that free real estate. She's allowed to move on and date someone new. When you date someone, it only ends in two options: you marry them or you break up. Those are the facts of life folks. Also, you weren't involved in the private part of their relationship. You don't know how long it was over before it was "over" (publicly). We don't know the timeline of each relationship. What's that saying.. Those who live in glass houses..... Imagine your personal shit being thrown all over the tabloids. scrutinizing your every move. I'm not so sure America would love me. I have NO filter and give zero fucks about peoples opinions of me. If it makes me happy, I do it. I'm glad she's finally living her life with zero fucks. This is the Taylor I've been waiting for! She's finally living life how she wants. |
