While watching the part 1 finale, I had a revelation on why Landon really hates Kathryn. I'm not sure why it took me so long or how I could forget this. Let's first embarrassingly admit that I forgot Kathryn and Shep had their thing. Now let's flash back to Landon admitting she's "in love" with Shep and Shep about spilled his wine and couldn't get out of her house fast enough. I shot up on the couch last night and screamed "I GET IT! Landon hates Kathryn so much because Kathryn boned Shep and Landon couldn't close the deal! He couldn't get out of there fast enough when she confessed her feelings, but Shep and Kathryn can be friends and look back fondly on their hookup days (bottle of wine, it was casual, it was fun, etc.)!!! So. Subconsciously (or probably consciously) Landon goes after T-Rav (both in social media and in person), but T-Rav won't publicly admit they boned so she can't win there either!" I can't believe I didn't see that before!
Now let's move on to the actual reunion. I am SO happy that Whitney FINALLY admitted that him and Kathryn were more than a one night stand. I feel vindicated for her. I was sitting on my couch saying "show the footage. Show the footage. Show the footage!!" I can't believe T-Rav stood up for her and was like "Patricia told me the first time she met Kathryn was in the kitchen getting coffee". I'm not really sure why everyone wants to judge Kathryn like they forgot what it was like to be young. Also, Shep is 36. I'm not sure what anti-aging things he's doing, but I need to jump on that train. My jaw about hit the floor when it came out that Landon went on that valentines day trip. #desperate. Why would she want to go on a trip that was planned for another woman. I would feel so uncomfortable, separate bedrooms or not. If the trip was designed with another woman, I wouldn't want to be there as a seat filler. I would be too uncomfortable to enjoy myself. I was a little disappointed that everyone is so closed off with being friends with Kathryn. They've all done some shady shit and said some things they regret, so why hold her to a different standard than everyone else. #NewCraig not being able to take the bar definitely surprised me. I'm hoping next season we'll see him and Naomie getting married and him as a lawyer. They are the cutest! I also love that Cameron's husband doesn't want to be on the show and he lets her do her thing. I also love her independence. It reminds me of myself. I'm just not the person who can sit there and let my husband take care of me. I need to contribute to the marriage and make my own money. I love that she's never taken a dime from her husband. It definitely made me respect her SO much more.
I'm wondering what the cast is going to do if Kathryn isn't there? Who is going to be their next target? I'm a little disappointed that they can't befriend Kathryn for her outburst but T-Rav can have a monster meltdown and everyone pretends it's okay. Also, she is the only mom on the show so I'm sure the show does affect her a little differently than the other ladies. All I could think of is who the eff do these people think they are to bring up the paternity of her children and trash talk her relationship/children. T-Rav was proven to be the father and they STILL want to give her shit about it. Wth is that? It's all a little TAWDRY for me. I just think every one needs to rise above everything. I'm not sure why everyone is so concerned with her paternity and custody case. Get a hobby. It's no one's business except her and T-Rav. Who cares? I mean, really... Does that really effect anyone's life?
